Cut out animation
Cut out Animation- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diJnEk7vBdE&feature=plcp click the link to view the video
We drew some pictures of what we wanted to be in the animation and then cut them out, made a background and cut out bits we wanted to move. it took us a while to think what we were going to do then we thought of a fish jumping out of its bowl into a tank with a big fish/shark that ate it as it came in. we drew the things we used on an a4 paper then cut it out and put them on the back ground of an a3 paper. We cut out the goldfish, a few splashes, the shark, the bowl and the tank.
We used istop motion to take the frames, had everything in place, took a picture then moved something things slightly but not too far so we made it look smooth, after we did that we put it into 'imovie' then added sound affects into it to make it look better.
We exported it using quicktime so it was a good quality video rather than anything else because it was on a mac it may not work on some computers so it would be better to export it as a quicktime so it can be watched on any computer to show and maybe edit.
Today was a good day of practicing animation because I have never done it before and it was good fun and can now understand what goes on for cartoons. I found it quite easy making it in istopmotion because all you did was get the image where you wanted it then clicked it to take a picture and just move it slightly each time and it showed you wear the last frame was shot so it was easy to edit if something went wrong.
